Clarion expands into Turkey with Survey purchase

Clarion Events has joined the Turkish exhibition industry gold-rush by acquiring Turkish trade fair organiser Survey.Earlier this year the company acquired Survey in Germany and took an option on a number of businesses that Survey had launched in other countries to expand its brands. The Turkish business came into the spotlight with the launch of ZOW Turkey, an exhibition for suppliers to the furniture market. The acquisition of Survey Turkey includes Buildist, a launch event for the construction sector focusing on design, architecture, innovation and technology.The takeover sees Clarion join an increasing number of international organisers singling out the Turkish market as a future stronghold for international events.CEO of Clarion Events (London), Simon Kimble, says: “We see huge potential for our trade fairs in Turkey and neighbouring countries. Istanbul is an international hub and a key strategic foothold for future activities.”
