The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) has announced well-known former British Army officer and motivational speaker, Colonel Tim Collins OBE, will be keynote at its upcoming conference. The event, entitled Tomorrow’s World, is being held at Olympia Conference Centre on 1 February. Collins gained attention for his pre-battle speech to troops before the Iraq War in 2003, as well as his work around teamwork, leadership and motivation. His presentations are based on parallels between military problem solving and the challenges faced by leaders. “We are delighted to have Tim speaking at the AEO Conference, he is a truly inspirational person and speaker,” AEO CEO Austen Hawkins said. “It will be fascinating to learn from such amazing and successful leader as Tim who is one of life’s true heroes.”The AEO Conference will be chaired by Brand Events COO Andrew Evans and include sessions from third-party representatives on digital marketing, brand activation, show launches, research tips and sales strategies. In October, the AEO ran its latest peer-to-peer marketing and ops forum at Excel London. Check out the pictures here.
