The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) has announced it will be holding a webinar on Brexit, presented by Bank of England economist Dominic Swords, on 21 April.

The webinar, which will take place at 10am, will be available exclusively to ESSA members and will aim to help them adapt and prepare for the British exit from the European Union in 2019.

Swords, whose background is in financial markets and regulations, has held posts at the Bank of England in addition to his full-time and visiting posts at business schools around the world.

In the webinar, he will present his analysis of the impact that Brexit is likely to have on the strategic, operational and financial resourcing of member businesses in the events industry, and how they need to respond.

Andrew Harrison, ESSA director, commented: "In this webinar, Dominic will be expanding on his excellent Brexit presentation at our AGM last year, and will be able to go into more specific detail now that the process of leaving the EU is well and truly under way. Many of our members work extensively in Europe and the EU, and this webinar is an excellent opportunity for them to find out how they will need to adapt and change to the changes that will inevitably come.”

ESSA Members wishing to participate in the webinar, and learn what Brexit may hold in store for them, are invited to contact Harrison direct to register their interest.
