The Event Production Show is claiming it is on target to achieve its highest number of exhibitors in 2011. The 20th annual event industry show takes place on 2-3 February 2011 and will be held in Olympia’s Grand Hall. Organiser, Ocean Media, claimed exhibitor bookings were already up 5 per cent year-on-year. Those signed up so far include Ascot Structures, 360 Creative Events Services, De Boer, Soundstage one and Q Does Event Hire. Long-term exhibitors, Sunbaba, National Radio Bank and Star Events, are also confirmed for 2011. The organisers claimed its 2010 show footprint increased by 1,500sqm, with 180 exhibitors present. The Event Production Show switched from the National Hall to Grand Hall last year. Spokesperson, Sarah Brownlee, said it was aiming to widen its audience base to include sponsorship managers and in-bound European buyers as they sought to capitalise on the UK’s changing event industry over the next decade.“The UK event sector is in transition as we get ready to produce some of the highest profile events on the world stage, from the 2012 London Olympics and the Golden Jubilee along with the eponymous Glastonbury,” She said. Features planned for the 2011 event include a specialist forum to discuss best practices and to preview progressive technologies and services for the industry; interest zones; and a broad speaker programme.
