The UK’s first dedicated sustainable housing expo, Scotland’s Housing Expo (SHE), has had a healthy start to achieving a target of 30,000 visitors.Running for the whole of August, the event has already attracted almost 2,000 visitors, who have seen over 50 sustainable homes and surrounding pathways, roads, social spaces and floral exhibits."The educational seminars start as of today, which we hope will be an extra draw for visitors," says SHE spokesperson, Emma Diamond. "The event is based on a model found in Finland and mainland Europe and we hope ours will put Scotland on the map as a leader in sustainable living."The houses on show create a small town for visitors to wander round and learn all about the different types of sustainable housing available on the market. When it ends, the houses will be available to buy or rent.SHE takes place at Milton of Leys from now until the end of August.
