New AEO forums planned for November

The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) has announced the latest series of peer-to-peer networking forums at Excel London next month. The one-day Marketing and Ops Forums will take place on 18 November. The Marketing Forum will be chaired by Media 10 marketing director, Rob Nathan, and cover Google analytics, YouTube usage, the successful re-launch of the Ideal Home Show, and rules and guidelines to improving marketing collateral. The Ops Forum will be headed by UBM Live group operations director, Mirabelle Chatterjee, and is targeted at live events personnel, contractors, venues and organisers. According to the AEO, topics will range from disaster recovery and crisis management through to updates on height legislation, international health and safety considerations, fire risk assessments and visitor experience.The industry body has also launched a new forums website with additional event details, built by sponsor, ASP. AEO CEO, Austen Hawkins said the forums offered members the opportunity to network with their peers while learning new skills.
