Events venue Manchester Central welcomed around 20,000 delegates to more than 50 corporate events throughout 2016, resulting in a 45 per cent revenue rise on 2015.

The venue welcomed big names such as Co-op and Santander in 2016 and on average attracts around half a million visitors to Manchester each year, generating more than £75m for the city.

Manchester Central is capable of housing between 40 and 10,000 delegates, with 23,000sqm of event space.

Angie Robinson, chief executive, said: “I’m delighted that we’re continuing to see substantial growth amongst our corporate bookings in what was a record year for Manchester Central.

“Our experienced team of professionals is primed to build on this success and I look forward to welcoming both new and returning clients in 2017.”
