Ocean Media catches the first quarter wave

Ocean Media Group is reporting "great growth" across its portfolio of mainland Europe events.Building on the acquisition of bridal shows in the Netherlands and Germany in 2007, the company launched five major events within the last 18 months in Essen, Berlin and Warsaw. MD of Ocean Media Group, James Brooks-Ward, says: "The markets we have turned our attention to have been receptive to our approach and to the way we run our exhibitions."Simon Coe takes over as sales director, meanwhile, of Ocean Media’s Boat and Caravan Show. He previously headed Clarion’s International Caravan and Motorhome show. The company also reports that all its shows, staged during the first quarter, including the renamed Event Production Show which moved to Olympia, the revamped National Wedding Shows (Olympia and NEC), Boat and Caravan (NEC) and Bridal (Harrogate), have beaten their budgets and last year’s numbers. Brooks-Ward, says: "While not wanting to jump the gun, this excellent start to the year".
