Earls Court and Olympia management has appointed Exhibition Traffic Management Services (ETMS) to facilitate traffic around the Olympia site during its redevelopment next year. ETMS has managed traffic flow at Earls Court for the past four years, according to halls director at EC&O Venues, Rachel Parker. The new deal sees ETMS also become the official marshalling contractor for Olympia customers, contractors and exhibitors from 1 January 2011. “Following the exciting news regarding the West Hall development it is imperative that we manage and control the traffic effectively, particularly during the construction phase,” she added. “For this reason we have decided to mirror the arrangements at Earls Court and appoint ETMS.” As previously reported in EN, Olympia’s £20m redevelopment commences from early 2011 and through 2012. Plans include redevelopment of the West Hall into a two-storey exhibition hall, as well as reconfiguring Olympia 2.
