Success for print exhibition Ipex 2010 points to a healthy resurgence in the printing industry, according to analysts.Professor Frank Romano, international analyst and Ipex 2010 'Champion in Print', declared that "the international print, media and publishing trade exhibition has demonstrated that the printing industry is back in business".Over 50,000 visitors from 135 countries, excluding exhibitor and media personnel, attended Ipex in Birmingham this year. The international ratio increased by eight per cent on the last edition, with noticeable increases in visitors from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa."We’re delighted with the visitor numbers which are roughly in line with 2006, despite considerable industry consolidation. The notable increase in international visitors underlines the importance of Ipex to the printing industry," says Ipex 2010 event director, Trevor Crawford. When asked how the figures were achieved, Crawford said a "far-reaching integrated marketing campaign, including successful international road shows and a co-marketing programme, came together to deliver an international decision-making and buying audience".
