Organiser Media 10 is celebrating a strong London event for the Ideal Home Show, which saw the launch of the all-new Eat & Drink Festival.

More than 225,000 visitors descended on Olympia London for the 109th edition of the show from 24 March to 9 April.

The Ideal Home Show also featured more than 600 exhibitors, including vendors showcasing the latest food and drink in the brand new Eat & Drink Festival, which will form part of Ideal Home events in Manchester and Glasgow later this year.

The flagship London show featured a line-up of celebrity speakers, including household names such as Katie Piper, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Candice Brown, winner of Great British Bake Off 2016.

There were also three full-size show houses on display at the event: the Rotating House, the 21st Century Cottage and the Property Ladder Apartments.

Lee Newton, CEO of Media 10, commented: “The spring show is always one that we look forward to, as it marks the beginning of brighter mornings and lighter nights – and we find that visitors are really excited to inject some change and colour into their homes ready for the summer months ahead.

"We have been delighted to see so many returning faces, along with new ones. And of course, with the launch of the Eat & Drink Festival this year, we’ve had lots more to celebrate and a new arm to the already-fantastic show – with extra focus on celebrating foodie trends and our local vendors.

"We’re looking forward to replicating the success in Scotland in May, and then up North at EventCity in June."
