Stadium Experience continues supporting Portsmouth

Stadium Experience (SE), the stadium marketing consortium that promotes football clubs event and conference facilities, has pledged to continue supporting Portsmouth Football Club in light of the club’s current plight.Portsmouth is the first Premier League team to go into administration following reports about financial mismanagement. It also has an imminent nine point deduction, making relegation from the Premier League all but a certainty."Our organisation’s sole aim is to represent stadia as venues. Portsmouth’s Fratton Park is one such place, with some of the best events staff in the industry," chairman of SE, Tony Watson tells Exhibition News. "We’ll continue to support them accordingly."Portsmouth has been part of SE since 2001, but is one of the oldest stadiums on the roster."Portsmouth does have a number of meeting and event spaces. However, being an older ground means improvements are warranted. It’s not currently on the same level as their south coast competitors," adds secretary of SE, Shirley Pinn. "But, as we did with Southampton and Leeds United when they both went into administration, we will continue to work with the events team at Fratton Park."
