The organiser of the antipodean TNT Sun and Snow Travel Show 2010 claims to have seen a 38 per cent increase in footfall year-on-year, un-audited. The number of exhibitors also increased by 12 to 46. Held at London’s Ibis Hotel at Earls Court on 16 November, the one-day, free-entry exhibition attracted 4,871 visitors. TNT Events is the exhibitions and events arm of antipodeans-focused TNT Magazine and targets Australians, New Zealanders and South Africans living and travelling in the UK with all exhibitors offering discounted deals for visitors.“This was the biggest Sun and Snow Travel Show to date,” says TNT’s head of marketing and events Jim Zambrano. “We were so encouraged by the attendance and enthusiasm that we will be moving the show to a bigger premises next year.”Exhibitor Daniell Saunders from On The Go Tours says the footfall and clientele were great. “We did exceptionally well will bookings this year. We did a few things differently and have lots in store for the March show so that one’s going to be huge.”TNT’s summer edition of its series of travel shows, the TNT Travel Show, also recorded a 28 per cent increase in attendance last March. The organiser has taken the decision to extend its floor space and will be moving the 2011 edition from the Ibis hotel to the Earls Court Exhibition Centre on 19 March.
