UBM to launch chemical show brand in Brazil

United Business Media is to open the doors on its Informex chemical trade show brand in Brazil for the first time later this month.The show will include an international conference, exhibition and networking programmes. Organisers are hoping to attract around 1,500 professionals to the event in Sao Paulo.In Brazil alone, the chemical industry’s net sales in 2009 were US$103bn, 48 per cent of which represented industrial chemicals, according to the Brazilian Chemical Industries Association, ABIQUIM."Brazil, with one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, seemed like a natural fit to launch another show," says Informex brand director, Jennifer Jessop. "The ability to make new business connections onsite at the event will valuable to both the exhibitors and the attendees."Informex Latin America takes place 23 to 24 August at the Amcham Convention Centre, Sao Paulo.
